A State-of-the-Art Procedure

That Treats Gum Disease and Can

Regrow Lost Bone Without the Pain,

Swelling, Cutting & Stitching of

 Conventional Gum Surgery

 The advantages of Laser Periodontal Therapy vs. traditional surgery are:

     * No cutting and no sewing

     * The Laser Periodontal Therapy removes ONLY the diseased tissue

     * Minimal gum shrinkage after surgery results in less root exposure.  As a

 result teeth do not appear  longer.

     * Very little discomfort

     * Little or no increase in sensitivity to cold and heat due to less root exposure

The Laser Periodontal Therapy Procedures (LANAP) are as follows:

     * Laser light (via small fire optic rod) enters the periodontal pocket and sweeps the pocket.

        Laser energy kills bacteria and removes diseased tissue and leaves

 the healthy tissue untouched.

     * Special instruments remove the plaque and calculus on the root surface

     * Laser light enters the periodontal pocket for the second time to induce a blood clot

 within the pocket and seal the pocket to prevent more bacteria

     * Bite trauma is adjusted

     * Gums attach the  clean root surface at the pre-surgical level resulting in minimum

 post surgery gum recession.

      * The Laser Therapy will also promote bone regeneration!
